In fact, the boat shows a new project with the cockpit enclosed by the deckhouse which, in addition to its evident functionality, also gives a new identity to this 11-metre goiter.
Cataldo Aprea’s idea, using the planning of Marco Casali for the design and Umberto Tagliavini for the hull, was to create a boat that can be easily managed by a single person like a daily pleasure open boat, but with all the comfort of a cruiser and the look and seaworthiness of a Sorrentine goiter.
The Apreamare Gozzo 35 Cabin will make its debut in the first months of 2024 and will present itself as the “twin” of the open model, but with new design solutions which, precisely thanks to the presence of the deckhouse, radically change the layout and, therefore, the way of experiencing the main deck.
Even at a first glance from the outside, it can be seen that the cockpit, although covered, does not lose the all-round view of the sea, thanks to the large perimeter windows that completely crown the superstructure, including in the aft French door, which can be opened on four doors.
How the Apreamare Gozzo 35 Cabin changes on board
So let’s see immediately how Marco Casali has organized the new layout of this cabin cruiser also on deck. What on the open model is a completely open deck from stern to bow, with sofas and sunpads plus the wetbar, on the new Gozzo 35 Cabin becomes largely a large saloon with a C-shaped dinette on the port side and a galley unit on the starboard side.
It should be noted that the aft backrest of the dinette can move inside, to offer a seat on the border between the saloon and the cockpit with a panoramic view towards the stern.
And just aft, the cockpit offers an L-shaped sofa served by a pull-out table to create a comfortable outdoor dinette for six people. It cannot be transformed into a sundeck, but the problem does not arise, because a large padded surface is provided in the traditional bow position.
The high sides, typical of classic-inspired boats such as the Sorrentine goiters of Apreamare, have offered space to be able to raise the deck level and therefore increase the internal volumes, without intervening on the silhouette of the external profile of the boat.
In this way the gunwale has been reduced by about 20 cm, but a rail has been added to recover the useful height to protect the transit of passengers.
It is a design solution that has made it possible to maximize the space available throughout the hull, thanks to which on the Apreamare Gozzo 35 Cabin there is now also a second cabin with a 140 cm wide bed, which is added to the forward one and the separate bathroom, which already existed on the open model, but which are more spacious here.

Two options for choosing engines and transmissions
From the point of view of propulsion, the Apreamare Gozzo 35 Cabin is available with two inboard engines in the shaft line or sterndrive engines with stern drives.
In the latter case, you can further choose between a pair of 270 or 320 HP Volvo Penta D4 engines, with the latest generation DPI stern drives.
Those who choose the traditional shaft line, on the other hand, can have only one option for the engines, namely two 320 HP Volvo Penta D4s.
